For email marketers, low open rates, and low click-through rates are less disappointing, but nothing compares to the disappointment of high unsubscribe rates. Given the level of investment involved in implementing an effective email marketing strategy, it’s up to us as marketers to determine what it is that urging our subscribers to opt out of our communications rather than engage with them.
